Identifying free riders

It's important to avoid problems of unequal involvement in group work, and to personalize the notes on deliverables. ChallengeMe facilitates this type of activity.

How does it work?

This type of assessment is based on group work. The criteria are predefined to make it easy to identify students who are relying on others. Unlike job evaluations, participants are not asked to assess deliverables, but rather the members of their group with whom they have collaborated, based on behavioral criteria.

Assess soft skills

Why not take advantage of these assessments to encourage students to evaluate each other's interpersonal skills? It could be beneficial to adopt criteria that combine involvement and skills to better engage students.
